UKSPF Community Empowerment Grants

The Community Empowerment Fund (part of the broader UK Shared Prosperity Fund or UKSPF) is a community capacity building initiative that aims to boost local community projects across the Falkirk area.

In the final phase of the UKSPF Communities programme, we will continue to administer the scheme, and offer support to organisations to apply for funding in the following area:

Capital Equipment Grant

Constituted organisations seeking support for sustaining or developing their organisation/service can apply for this grant. It helps overcome barriers to growth and development.

Maximum award: £8,000

Eligible organisations are invited to submit their applications during the period: 18 August to 20 September 2024. This is a single round of UKSPF funding, not a recurring grant programme.

Concluded UKSPF grant funds

The UKSPF Communities revenue budget is now fully allocated to community organisations and projects within Falkirk and district.

Start Up and Small Grants

The Start Up and Small Grants fund ceased accepting new applications on 20 June 2024.

A total of £198,997 has been awarded to 45 community groups through the UKSPF revenue budget.

Community Asset Transfer (CAT) Grant

As a result of the high demand, and the capped UKSPF revenue budget, the Community Asset Transfer fund ceased accepting applications on 20 August 2024.

A total of £109,277 has been awarded to 14 community groups through the UKSPF revenue budget.

UKSPF Funded Projects Update

Support to explore alternative sources of revenue funding accessible to community organisations will continue to be provided by our UKSPF partners at the Community Development Team and CVS Falkirk and District.

For all grant streams, the Community Partnership Team will continue to work with existing beneficiaries to complete grant monitoring activities necessary for UKSPF reporting through until March 2025.
