15 | MOTION Bandeath Animal Shelter Council agrees that where a financial decision is to be made under delegated powers, and has the potential to be of significant public interest all elected members will receive a briefing paper prior to any decision being implemented. Council acknowledges the significant public concern at a recent decision to withdraw funding from Bandeath Animal Shelter without recourse to elected members. It now therefore agrees to reinstate the funding for the Shelter and to work with partners and the wider community on the sustainability of the facility for the foreseeable future.
