The £100 million Falkirk and Grangemouth Growth Deal to invest in the local economy has been officially signed off by ministers from the UK and Scottish Governments and representatives from Falkirk Council.
Over the programme's lifetime, over 1600 jobs and £628 million in economic benefit is expected to be delivered. The agreement by Scottish Government Economy Secretary Kate Forbes, UK Government Minister Ian Murray and Leader of Falkirk Council, Cecil Meiklejohn took place at Rosebank Distillery on Thursday 14 November 2024.
This investment from the two governments will provide support to back local industries and create new opportunities for workers in the region. With investment from Falkirk Council and Scottish Canals, the total package adds up to a total of £148.7 million.
