A large woodland area between Grangemouth and Polmont. Extending around the Grangemouth golf course, the woodland is mostly coniferous but there are some areas where the coverage is mixed or deciduous. There are some good paths going through the site and informal tracks which add interest and possibilities for exploring. A section of the Antonine Wall runs through the site and is visible between the woodland trees. The site is set in a very diverse topography including steep banks, adding interest. In the car-park there are maps and interpretation boards explaining the local biodiversity and history.
