Are you out of work?

Do you want to work? We can help you in three easy steps.

Step 1: Contact us

Employment & Training Unit

Step 2: Meet with us

You will meet with an employment worker to agree a plan of action. The video below shows what you can expect on your first visit to the ETU.

Step 3: Get training

You and your employment worker work together to help you get the training and skills to get a job.

We also help you find and apply for jobs by working with employers.

About us

We can help local people find a job or training opportunity to progress their careers.

Our Employment and Training Unit (ETU) provides its services to all ages, whether leaving school, returning to work or changing career; we are here to help. The service is person-centred and needs-led, meaning we work with you to support you into employment in a way that works for you. You may need a more tailored training and support service due to your current circumstances and we can ensure you get all the specialist support and advice needed to move into the right job at the right time.
