- The Odenwald region - a quiet, mainly rural area in the south-west of Germany.
- Creteil - a large, cosmopolitan town lying to the south of Paris, France.
The main aims of twinning are:
- To develop a partnership between the twinned areas.
- To promote cultural, social and educational exchanges.
- To expand commercial links between the twinned areas.
- To organise fundraising activities to support the goals of the twinning associations.
Falkirk's twinning is looked after by two voluntary organisations,
The Odenwald Association and the Falkirk
