Submission History: Affordable Housing "Council believes that it is time to review the Council's existing strategy on the provision of affordable housing and agrees to co-operate with the Scottish Government's housing agenda. However, Council believes that there should be a more immediate change to the levels of affordable housing proportions within private housing development due to what could be described as avoiding responsibility. Council therefore agrees that all housing developments of ten properties or over must have an element of affordable housing contained within it. Council therefore agrees to instruct Officers to bring forward a paper on the mechanism to ensure that private housing providers provide a higher percentage of affordable housing than is currently being delivered across Falkirk District". Proposed by Councillor Meiklejohn
