Falkirk Council
What type of animal carcass will be uplifted by the council?
We generally remove dead animals that have been the victim of a road traffic accident. These are usually cats, dogs and foxes, but may be extended to deer or other animals.
No Animals, including pets, should not be taken to Council recycling centres.
The disposal of a dead domestic pet is the responsibility of the pet owner. You can, if you wish, bury the family pet in your garden. You can also contact your local vet.
If you see a dead animal please leave it in place and report it.
Dead birds
Dead birds should be reported to DEFRA.
