Suspension/delay of all investment works and non-essential services

In recognition of Scottish Government guidance on restrictions on all non-essential travel and the closure of building and construction sites, the following changes to housing improvement projects and services have been implemented.

These changes impact on a number of projects and services currently ongoing or scheduled to start soon.

All necessary safety measures will be implemented to mitigate any potential public safety issues.

Projects and services suspended:

Lift upgrades – Tower blocks

All work will stop at Paterson, Symon, Marshall and Maxwell Towers from 25 March. An emergency service will still be provided to all lifts in the event of a breakdown.

New build – Blinkbonny Road, Falkirk

The site is closed which will delay handover to the Council.

Housing Investment Programme

Works to the following projects have been suspended:

  • Roofing and Roughcasting work
  • Estate improvement works
  • Fencing
  • Safety Alarm installation
  • New heating installations
  • New housing (Blinkbonny Road, Falkirk)

Air Source Heat Pump – Glenbrae, Parkfoot & Glenfuir

Mobilisation of project due April 2020 - delays are now expected.
