It’s been shortened, simplified and managers have been asked to give you time to fill it in at work – Falkirk Council’s Employee Engagement Survey is back!

Two years ago we asked for your views on a range of subjects and an action plan was pulled together to tackle the issues you told us about.

Now we want to know if you think things have improved or if more needs to be done to make you feel supported, informed and valued at work.

The more responses we get the better understanding we’ll have of what is working and what isn’t. An action plan will then be produced to tackle the issues you raise.

For every response we receive the Council will donate £1 to Strathcarron Hospice.

This year we’ve addressed two major concerns you had about filling in the 2017 survey:

  • Anonymity: the only personal information you’ll be asked to provide is which division you work for. We’ve launched a digital version of the questionnaire so it can be completed on a Council or personal mobile phone, laptop or PC. For those needing a hardcopy, a pre-paid or internal envelope has been provided to ensure confidentiality.
  • Time: the survey runs for six weeks outwith the school holidays, from September 2nd until October 11th, and managers have been asked to give you the time needed to fill it in, either at a team briefing or another appropriate time in the day. If you’d rather give your views in your own time please do, whenever and wherever you feel most comfortable.

It has never been as important as it is now to hear your views. A lot of change has happened since 2017 and a lot of change is still to come as we move to become the Council of the Future.

That is why we need to get it right for you during this period of transformation - your views really do matter.
