Team Sealock proved there was no gain without pain last Friday when they 'Braved the Shave & Wax' and helped raising nearly £3,040 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

On September 7th, the 11 volunteers either opted to have their head's shaved by a professional hairdresser - Isabel Nelson, owner of Belle’s Barbers in Bonnybridge - or choose to have their legs waxed by ... colleagues!

All agreed to take part after Asset Officer, Roy Nimmo, persuaded them it was a good idea.

Roy, who was diagnosed with stage 3 Nasal Cancer last year, opted to have his head shaved first (main photo), and would like to thank everyone for taking part and all those who donated. A special thanks goes to Isabel for agreeing to shave the heads for free.

Roy said: "The event went really well. Everyone had a good laugh and got into the swing of things. It was also really good for staff morale, although Graham MacDonald has said it's a sponsored walk next year!"

Read Roy’s story. Donations are still been accepted via JustGiving.
