This year the Council are celebrating Purple Friday – a day to stand against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia and to show support for LGBTI equality in Scotland and across the world.

As part of the celebration, all employees in Municipal  Buildings and the Forum are being encouraged to wear something purple. If you would also like to contribute something to the cause, then please leave donations with reception. Employees visiting either Municipal Buildings or the Forum are also invited to take part .

A bake sale is being held in Municipal Buildings canteen between 10am -12pm – all proceeds raised will be donated to LGBT Youth Scotland.

The LGBT Youth Scotland website has an interactive map and the more tweets an area has, the darker the shade of purple that part of the map will turn. On Purple Friday, take a photo of yourself and you team wearing something purple and tweet it with the #PurpleFriday #Falkirk

Let’s turn Falkirk purple!
