With flu season just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to book an appointment to get vaccinated – and if you normally pay for the flu jab, we’ll reimburse you through expenses.

Because flu symptoms can be similar to those of COVID-19, getting vaccinated won’t just protect you and your family from potentially being laid up with the flu, it could help ease the burden on NHS Scotland’s Test & Protect system. It might also help you avoid having to self-isolate unnecessarily.

Employees who are eligible for a free flu vaccine through the NHS should arrange to receive this. Eligible Social Care staff will receive further information on how to access their flu vaccination. All other employees are encouraged to get vaccinated through their local pharmacy.

If you arrange a vaccination through a pharmacy, you can claim this back as expenses through MyView. If you do not have access to MyView, you can submit an expenses claims form to your manager directly. Any claim should be supported by a relevant receipt.
