Work at the new ‘Foundry’ building in Larbert is continuing and is still on track for phased moving in from September 2021.

The project team have started to brief managers on what can be expected in the refurbished building and what facilities will be available.

Foundry will provide a number of touchdown workstations that can be booked in advance using a dedicated online booking system. This system will also be able to book meeting rooms and spaces in the building.

The workstations will be 1200mm by 800mm, offer dual monitors, keyboard, mouse and charging points for laptops and phones.

No one can ‘claim’ a desk as their own as there will be a clear desk policy that means nothing can be left behind after work. Personal lockers will be available for storage.

There will be several different sized meeting rooms (with A/V equipment and large screens) as well as informal meeting spaces and quiet working areas.

Spaces will be screened to ensure that the building doesn’t resemble a traditional call centre and there will be dedicated print areas as well as kitchen prep areas.

Finally, a café will be available, and plans are being worked on just now to gauge what kind of food offering can be provided.

As the project progresses, more updates will be shared.
