With the expectation that the First Minister will announce the country will move to Level 3 on 26 April, we are continuing to review what this means for our services and employees as lockdown restrictions ease.

Working from home

If you are currently working from home, you will continue to do so.   Service areas are being assessed and essential work that cannot be done at home identified.

Should you need to return to an office to perform a vital piece of work, hot desking/touch down facilities will be available.

The following general office measures should be followed. These include:

  • QR codes should be used on entry/exit of every building
  • Hand sanitiser is available at entry of every building
  • Physical distancing measures must be maintained at all times
  • Wear masks when in communal areas
  • Open windows to improve ventilation

We have produced a short video to help employees understand what can be expected if and when you return to an office and the safety measures in place.

Re-opening of buildings

Buildings will only be re-opened where there is a direct need to provide a space for service delivery and those delivering frontline services will take priority.  If you require to attend the workplace, your manager will keep you informed on what building you should work from.

Employee Risk Assessments

All employees who have either been shielding or had an underlying condition that put them at higher risk from COVID-19 must complete an individual COVID risk assessment before returning to the workplace.

We will share more updates as work progresses.  In the meantime, if you have any questions about your current working arrangements, please speak to you manager or visit our guidance page.  Alternatively email HR help desk.
