Are you working extra hard? If you have more than one job or carry out unpaid work you should discuss this with your line manager.

The Extra Mural Employment policy advises that employees must not undertake any form of employment additional to their Falkirk Council employment without first discussing this with their manager. An Extra Mural Employment form is required be completed for any paid or unpaid work outside your role.

What is Extra Mural Employment?

Extra mural employment is any paid or unpaid work carried out in addition to your current employment with Falkirk Council. This includes self-employment, a second job with Falkirk Council, or paid or unpaid work outwith Falkirk Council.

We ask employees to discuss this with your line manager and complete the form to make sure that you are not engaged in other employment or business activity that breaches a statutory obligation, for example the working time directive, or creates a conflict of interest.
