The absence reporting pilot with First Care has been in operation in the following areas for the past 8 months.

  • SWAS – Care & Support at Home, Care Homes and Day Services
  • Property & Asset Management (Building Maintenance)
  • Roads & Grounds
  • Waste Management

Due to the impact of COVID, it has been difficult to measure the effectiveness of this pilot, so it was decided that is should end from 30th June 2021.

From 1st July 2021, employees within the services listed above should report absences in line with the normal reporting arrangements within their service area.

We would like to thank employees in the above teams for their participation with the pilot arrangements. We will continue to look at alternative mechanisms to improve attendance throughout the Council as a whole.
