You can recycle household materials at Kinneil Kerse Recycling Centre.

Drivers of all types vehicles are not permitted to deposit household waste at the recycling centre without a waste permit being issued.

Please note, there are restrictions on some items of waste. For advice, please speak to a member of staff at the recycling centre or contact us: wasteservices@falkirk.gov.uk.

Our recycling centres have a separate skip for the disposal of waste upholstered domestic seating, which may contain Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPS). New legislation which was introduced in January 2024 requires that we collect waste upholstered domestic seating separately. As such please place the following in the upholstered seating skip:

  • Armchair (recliner)
  • Chair upholstered (not armchair)
  • Couch – recliner, non-recliner or corner suite
  • Garden furniture (upholstered)

  • Sofa bed / Futon
  • Bean bags
