Out of School Care services are operated by voluntary organisations, private companies and local authorities. They are usually based in schools or community centres to help those families who require childcare for a variety of reasons.

Services are registered with the Care Inspectorate. Staff are qualified, registered and have had background checks completed.

National Care Standards can help you decide about a service, they are the minimum standard required by law and services are scored against how well they meet the standards.
