Falkirk Council comprises the Falkirk Constituency and part of the Linlithgow and East Falkirk
Constituency. One Member of Parliament will be elected to each Constituency.

The nomination pack is now available and physical copies can be picked up from the Election Office, Room G17, Municipal Buildings, Falkirk, FK1 5RS.

Nominations may be delivered by the candidate, his/her proposer, seconder or election agent (where previously arranged) to the Returning Officer at the address above between the hours of 10am and 4pm from Monday 11 November 2019 until Thursday 14 November 2019 inclusive. Further details are included in the Notice of Election.
A briefing for potential candidates for the Falkirk constituency will be held on Wednesday 13 November at 5:30pm in the Municipal Buildings, West Bridge Street, Falkirk. Further details are available from the Election Office.
Who can vote
To vote in this election you must be registered to vote and:
- be 18 years of age or over on polling day
- be a British, Irish or qualifying Commonwealth citizen
- be resident at an address in the UK (or a UK citizen living abroad who has been
registered to vote in the UK in the last 15 years)
- not be legally excluded from voting

The UK Parliamentary General Election uses the First Past The Post system.
You will receive one ballot paper.
You should mark an 'X' against the one candidate you want to elect to represent
When votes are counted, the candidate who receives the most votes is elected as
MP for your constituency.
