The Scottish Government have announced a £130 Low Income Pandemic Payment, which will be paid by the end of October 2021.
This payment will be made to each household in receipt of Council Tax Reduction during April 2021. It will also be paid to some households who are exempt from Council Tax and who meet the eligibility criteria, in recognition of the financial impact on households during the pandemic.
How to apply
We will write to you if we think you are eligible for the payment, and provide details then on how to apply. When we write to you, we will ask how you want to receive the payment.
If you have recently been awarded Council Tax Reduction back to April 2021, and we already know your bank details, we will arrange payment automatically. Where we do not know your bank details, we will try to contact you by telephone.
If you have not received a letter by 30 September 2021 but think you are eligible, please email LIPP@falkirk.gov.uk.
Please note, LIPP is a single payment and can only be paid once. For enquires regarding Scottish Child Payment Bridging Payments (including the Family Pandemic Payment), please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
