Civil marriage ceremony
A civil marriage ceremony can take place in a registration office or an agreed place within the Falkirk Council area.
We can help you organise your ceremony so that it's exactly what you want. You can choose your own vows, readings, ceremony enhancements and music to personalise your ceremony. Please remember that there must be no religious content.

Making arrangements for the civil marriage ceremony
It is important to make early arrangements for the date and time of your civil marriage ceremony.
You should make a booking with the Registrar and arrange for 2 people, aged 16 years or over, to act as witnesses at the registration.
Please let us know if you make any changes to your plans or decide to postpone or cancel your civil marriage ceremony.
From 01 April 2025 we can only offer the use of a small marriage room for statutory weddings (couple and 2 witnesses present).
