Between 2020 and 2024, £3.5m was allocated to Falkirk's Community Choices Place-Based Capital programme, split between Falkirk’s 9 electoral wards and a Falkirk wide category. Funds were allocated based on child poverty rates. The Place-based Capital Grant programme is now closed.

During the Community Choices Capital programme, a total of 74 Place-based Capital projects were successful in the public vote and examples of these can be found in the case studies, but ranged from upgrading the Redding Pit Disaster memorial, to repairing the roof on a local community theatre.

Successful project applications needed to have a clear vision and ambition for a positive future, seeking to result in communities which were fairer and healthier or more connected and inclusive.
