This module is aimed at managers who have a role in either chairing or presenting to a disciplinary, grievance or appeal hearing.

The course explores the hearing process and allows you the opportunity to participate in a 'mock disciplinary hearing'. It is essential that managers attending this course complete, in advance, the e-learning Managing Discipline and Grievance at Work course which will provide an understanding of the key elements of the Council's Discipline and Grievance Policies.

By the end of the session you will:

  • Know the hearing process.
  • Be able to present management's case.
  • Be able to chair a hearing
