Falkirk Council Adult Services are part of Forth Valley Health and Social Care Partnership and are committed to meeting the standards of The Scottish Manual Handling Passport Scheme (hse.gov.uk) therefore, the Moving and handling Training Programme consists of the following parts.

This moving and handling e-learning course, incorporating:

• Module A Manual Handling Theory

After completing this module Workforce Development will invite you to join a classroom-based course. It will cover content of modules C,D,E as outlined below. Module G is only covered for workers from children’s services.

• Module C Chair Manoeuvres
• Module D Bed Manoeuvres
• Module E Hoisting
• Module G Small Babies & Children

Both this e-learning module and the classroom-based training are mandatory for practice as a care professional.

The course is free and available at any time through our eLearning platform, OLLE.
