This course will provide you with the principles of providing safe food and the legal implications for you as a food handler. This online learning is split into four packages: 

  • Module 1 – Food legislation and the importance of food hygiene.
  • Module 2 – Types of bacteria and food poisoning bacteria
  • Module 3 – Safe storage of food and the working environment
  • Module 4 – Personal hygiene 
     

This program is a collaboration between the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS) and the Clyde Valley Learning and Development Project. 

On completion of this programme you will gain a REHIS Clyde Valley Joint Award in Introductory Food Hygiene.
