We want as many of our employees to enjoy a safe and happy holiday period with their friends and family as possible.

To help this happen, we are currently asking all Services to review their COVID arrangements to ensure our workplaces are as safe as possible.

Listed below are a few things you can do to help.

Speak to your manager about working from home

Work from home

If your role doesn't require you to attend the workplace for frontline service delivery please speak to your manager about working from home wherever possible. This will help minimise the number of people in the workplace and make it less likely that there is workplace transmission of COVID.

Get vaccinated

Vaccination vile

Whether it’s your first, second or booster dose of the COVID vaccine or getting a flu jag, vaccination is one of the best ways to avoid getting sick this winter.

How to access vaccinations.

Take regular lateral flow tests

lateral flow test

In the lead up to Christmas, everyone in Scotland is being advised to take regular lateral flow tests, especially before socialising outside their household.

Lateral flow tests can be picked up from pharmacies and other venues in and around Falkirk or you can order them direct to your door.

Self-isolate and take a PCR test when required

Stay at home instructions

If you have a positive lateral flow test, develop COVID symptoms or are a contact of a positive COVID case you must self-isolate and book a PCR test. Further information is available on NHS Inform.

Household contacts of a positive case must isolate for 10 days regardless of vaccination status, PCR test result age or previous infection. Health & Social Care staff have an exemption to this requirement where additional mitigations are implemented.

Socialise sensibly

When you are meeting up with friends and family some simple precautions can help to minimise the risk of COVID transmission. Take a lateral flow test before meeting up, try to meet in well ventilated spaces, and wear a face covering where appropriate.

Also, if you are contacted by Test & Protect please be up front and honest with them about where you have been and who you have been with.
