A brand new development of 19 properties has just been allocated to tenants in Graham Place, Denny.
The new properties have been built to top sustainability and adaptability standards and consist of 12 two bedroom four in a block and 7 three bedroom houses.
The development saw a total investment of £3m (£1.2m from Scottish Government and £1.8m from Falkirk Council).
Level access showers have been installed in the four in a block ground floor properties. In addition all the ground floor properties are wheelchair accessible. All feature solar panels for energy generation.
Two of the properties were developed in conjunction with partners within the Integrated Joint Board to accommodate the needs of delayed discharge patients with no additional alterations required.
Councillor Gordon Hughes, spokesperson for Housing said: “These new homes have been built to the highest standard and offer great flexibility to our tenants in terms of being accessible.
“We worked closely with the Integrated Joint Board to ensure that clients can now be accommodated in a community setting with a property that meets their needs and is closer to their families.”
