Falkirk's local election votes have been counted at Grangemouth Sports Complex today, Friday 6 May 2022.

There are nine wards in the Falkirk Council area, with each ward electing three or four candidates in a local election.

In all, 30 councillors have been elected to represent their area.

Ward 1 - Bo’ness and Blackness

The following candidates are elected: David Aitchison (Scottish Labour), Stacey Devine (SNP) and Ann Ritchie (Ind).

• Ballots received: 5,644
• Turnout: 45.6%

Ward 2 - Grangemouth

The following candidates are elected: David Balfour (SNP), Alan Nimmo (Scottish Labour) and Robert Spears (Ind).

• Electorate: 12,741
• Ballots received: 5,161
• Turnout: 40.5%

Ward 3 - Denny and Banknock

The following candidates are elected: Fiona Elizabeth Collie (SNP), Paul Garner (SNP), Alf Kelly (Scottish Labour) and Brian McCabe (Ind).

• Electorate: 15,534
• Ballots received: 6,478
• Turnout: 41.7%

Ward 4 - Carse, Kinnaird and Tryst

The following candidates are elected: Margaret Anslow (Scottish Labour), Gary Bouse (SNP), James Flynn (Scottish Conservative & Union) and Laura Murtagh (SNP).

• Electorate: 17,252

• Ballots received: 7,334

• Turnout: 42.5%

Ward 5 - Bonnybridge and Larbert

The following candidates are elected: Billy Buchanan (Ind), Bryan Deakin (SNP) and Jack Redmond (Scottish Labour).

• Electorate: 13,094
• Ballots received: 5,730
• Turnout: 43.8%

Ward 6 - Falkirk North

The following candidates are elected: Robert Bissett (Scottish Labour), James Bundy (Scottish Conservative & Union), Cecil Meiklejohn (SNP) and Iain Sinclair (SNP).

• Electorate: 16,749
• Ballots received: 6,630
• Turnout: 39.6%

Ward 7 - Falkirk South

The following candidates are elected: Lorna Binnie (SNP), Sarah Patrick (Scottish Conservative & Union) and Euan Stainbank (Scottish Labour).

• Electorate: 13,395
• Ballots received: 6,208
• Turnout: 46.3%

Ward 8 - Lower Braes

The following candidates are elected: Gordon Forrest (SNP), Anne Hannah (Scottish Labour) and James Kerr (Scottish Conservative & Union).

• Electorate: 12,003
• Ballots received: 5,238
• Turnout: 43.6%

Ward 9 - Upper Braes

The following candidates are elected: Claire Brown (Scottish Conservative & Union), Siobhan Paterson (Scottish Labour) and Jim Robertson (SNP).
