Two local parks have retained their 'Green Flag Award' status for another year following inspections by the environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful.

Helix Park in Falkirk retains its recognition for a ninth consecutive year and Zetland Park in Grangemouth retains theirs for a third year.

The awards recognise the very best of Scotland’s outdoor areas and are a benchmark for clean, safe and well-maintained parks and green spaces.

The awards also recognise the value that parks provide including enabling physical exercise, improving mental wellbeing and providing safe spaces for play.

A total of 80 green spaces in Scotland have won a Green Flag Award in 2024.
