The Novoville Shared Repairs app can help homeowners, in private ownership or in mixed tenure, to arrange common repairs and maintenance within a tenement/block.
Through the app you can:
- create a virtual block
- report issues to other owners
- source quotes and take a vote on repairs
- open a digital account for your building and pay in shares for the work
- appoint and pay the selected contractor
The app can be downloaded by one or all owners within the block. You can communicate with other owners electronically and by paper.
The app was created as part of the Scottish Government Innovation Programme, is supported by Under One Roof and is available in other Scottish local authority areas.
The app forms part of the property condition assistance provided through our Scheme of Assistance and links into our Buy with Confidence Scheme.
A new fees arrangement is now in place (01 April 2024). Fees are tailored to the cost of the repair/ maintenance work and range from 5% for smaller jobs (minimum £20 fee), to less than 1% for more expensive works.
