The Met Office has issued a Red Weather Warning during Storm Eowyn, with winds expected to reach up to 90mph between 10am and 5pm tomorrow (Friday 24 January 2025).
Due to the potential risk to life, all non-essential council services will be suspended, and all council buildings will be closed.
Services impacted include:
- All schools and Early Learning Centres
- Recycling centres and waste collection
- Burials and cremations
- Social Work offices and Day Services
- Leisure facilities and visitor attractions
Emergency Social Work cover will be provided and can be contacted via 01324 506070.
Emergency housing and roads repairs will continue to be carried out where necessary.
Some services can still be accessed online via www.falkirk.gov.uk.
Please do not call the contact centre during this period unless it critical.
