The Port of Grangemouth (GBDPE30) is a BCP which is designated for the importation of products of animal origin (POAO), high risk food and feed not of animal origin (HRFFNAO) and plastic kitchenware from China and Hong Kong.

Checks on the imported goods are carried out by Falkirk Council's Port Health & Trading Standards teams in order to protect animal and public health.

Water sampling from vessels

Drinking water samples can be taken and submitted to our Public Analyst for microbiological examination and, if required, chemical analysis on request.

Advance notification must be given to ensure arrangements can be made. There is a charge for this service. Requests can be made by emailing porthealth@falkirk.gov.uk.

Testing for Legionella is not available.
