Disabled parking bays are granted to those who meet the requirements of the Disabled Persons' Parking Places (Scotland) Act 2009.
Disabled persons' parking places are promoted and implemented by us as required by law and are marked as soon as practicable after a suitable location has been determined. Thereafter, proposed disabled persons’ parking places are advertised in the Falkirk Herald, on site and on tellmescotland every 3 months, on the last Thursday of the third month. Members of the public can object to the proposals should they wish to do so. Unresolved objections are referred to our Planning Committee for a decision.
A space can be used by anyone with a disabled parking blue badge. A space cannot be reserved for the sole use of the applicant.
Further information can be found at Blue Badge Scheme: Rights and responsibilities of a Blue Badge holder (PDF, 715KB) | Transport Scotland.
Misuse of a disabled persons' parking bay should be reported by email to parking@falkirk.gov.uk.
