By law, all weighing or measuring equipment used in retail or industrial businesses must be tested and approved.
Shops, bars, petrol stations and quarries are some of the businesses we visit.
We inspect equipment such as:
- Bulk fuel meters
- Length measures
- Petrol pumps
- Pub measures
- Weights
- Weighbridges
- Weighing equipment
Equipment must be tested to make sure it is suitable for what it is measuring and gives accurate measurements. Testing also help to make sure buyers are being treated fairly by sellers.
Accurate measurements can increase profits, efficiency and customer confidence, and reduce waste and rework.
Inaccurate measurements could cost you, or your customers money, and mean you are not complying with weights and measures legislation.
If you have any questions, or would like your equipment tested, contact us:
If you would like to speak to us in person, you can visit our office at the Falkirk Stadium (Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm). Please contact us in advance to make an appointment.
