Known locally as Parkhill, it is a large park with varied landform, magnificent veteran
tree avenues and a fenced play area with picnic facilities. The site has steeply
sided woodland areas alongside
the meandering Polmont Burn, and large rolling parkland areas with specimen trees.
A main path crosses the park from south-east to north-west, and a smaller path crosses
the burn towards the north-east. Many different features contribute to the interest
of the park such as the burn, the woodlands, the play facilities, the parklands
and the historical setting of the site.
