A charge for providing standard size (240 litre) blue, brown, burgundy and green wheeled bins at new housing developments was introduced in April 2016.

Residents need to purchase a garden waste permit to have the brown bin emptied.

For residents purchasing new build property bins, there are 2 options available, either with or without a brown bin.

A full standard set of new build property bins INCLUDING the brown bin costs £130.50 and contains:

  • 1 x blue bin (240 litres)
  • 1 x brown bin (240 litres)
  • 1 x burgundy bin (240 litres)
  • 1 x black box
  • 1 x green bin (240 litres)
  • 1 x internal food caddy
  • 1 x external food caddy

There will be a link at the end of the request form to buy your garden waste permit.

A full standard set of new build property EXCLUDING the brown bin costs £99.25 and contains:

  • 1 x blue bin (240 litres)
  • 1 x burgundy bin (240 litres)
  • 1 x black box
  • 1 x green bin (240 litres)

  • 1 x external food caddy

If a developer has purchased the bins on behalf of the resident, it will be the resident's responsibility to buy a garden waste permit if they wish to have the brown bin collected.
