We work with our Registered Social Landlord (RSL) partners to deliver new housing to meet our priorities, as set out in the Local Housing Strategy.

Using funding from the Scottish Government, our own and RSL partner's resources, we have plans to develop new build housing across the Falkirk Council area. As well as building our own housing, we make nominations to a percentage of RSL new build properties.

Our 5 year plan is set out in the Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP). The SHIP is approved annually by Executive Committee.

It's important to be aware that the planned sites and time scales can change for a number of reasons, such as unexpected costs, planning issues or funding availability.

We plan on building a variety of homes from 1 bedroom flats to 4 bedroom houses to provide a broad range of accommodation.

Registered Social Landlords

Our Registered Social Landlord (RSL) partners build Social Rent, Mid-Market Rent (MMR) and Shared Equity properties.

Falkirk Council have agreements in place with each RSL partner that allows for us to nominate a percentage of tenants for new build social rent properties. This helps to provide homes to those on the Council waiting list. However, the percentage differs for each partner and does not include other tenures, like MMR or Shared Equity, therefore if you are interested in any new builds being delivered by our partner RSLs, it is advisable to sign up to their own waiting lists.
