A new tourist guide and heritage trails app for the Falkirk area has now launched by the Great Place project.

The Falkirk Explored app hosts walking and cycling trails and a tourist guide that highlights the best visitor attractions across the local area.

The app shares stories about the attractions as part of an interactive tour guide.

Great Place project

Developed by the Great Place project – which is a partnership of Falkirk Council, Falkirk Community Trust, Scottish Canals and Central Scotland Green Network – the Falkirk Explored app was supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The project celebrates Falkirk’s history, industrial heritage, landscape, and the stories of its local communities.

Great Place is encouraging anyone to submit ideas for the development of future trails and amenities to greatplace@falkirkcommunitytrust.org

The app is available for both Android and iOS.
